Update

Liam had his 2 month appointment on the 18th. Unfortunately, he had to get 4 shots, 2 in each thigh, and one oral immunization. It was horrible (I think it was more traumatic for me & Jeff) but he was a trooper. He now weighs 11 lbs. 4 oz. He's our little chunk! He's going to eat us out of house and home. Our pediatrician suggested adding some rice cereal to his bottle in order to cut down on the amount of formula he's eating but especially to help him sleep longer through the night. He currently wakes up about every 2 hours to eat. Is that really necessary?! Anyway, I haven't tried it yet because the pediatrician also said it can make him gassy while his stomach adjusts to it. The poor baby is already incredibly gassy and I don't want to increase his level of gassiness right now because it makes him really cranky. He gets that from Jeff's side of the family. :) He found his fists and sucks on them day and night. It's adorable but there's a downside... his fists stink like rotten formula. I get a whiff of them and literally want to puke. I wash them several times throughout the day but they still have that faint smell. Oh well, he won't take a pacifier so whatever works and keeps him content is fine by me. Beside the fact that he's incredibly cute and melts my heart with every smile.

Oh my gosh! 2 mos. is really early to do cereal, but I would sure be tempted if Max was still waking up every 2 hrs! Not to make you jealous, but we're working up to 7 hrs right now - we were almost there last night! Woohoo! How are you surviving still on that kind of schedule?!!
I don't know if it's just Max or anything we've done, but we've mostly followed the book 'On Becoming Babywise' for sleep training & getting him on a good schedule. You're welcome to borrow it but I will want it back before too long. Call me if you want more info - 480-241-5262. One thing - do you swaddle him? Swaddled babies tend to sleep longer. Good luck!
k- what a cute little chunk. You gotta love that kid. I hated doing the shots, but Scott would have nothing to do with them and I couldn't leave it up to the nurse to console our screaming child, so I had to put on my big girl panties and just watch it all happen. Poor kiddos.
Talk about a hungry kid! My goodness - would you quit starving him already! J/k - Gotta love the little chub. Good luck with all the shots too...we are behind a month for Lance as I keep procrastinating cuz it is one of my least favorite things to do too!
What a cute little guy!! I think he looks just like you April!
